As technology has progressed, the ability to emulate our favourite games from decades ago has become a simple task for the more powerful platforms of today. The JXD S7800b, is a quad core Android tablet built for nothing but gaming.

Coming equipped with dual analog sticks, a D-Pad, fourteen buttons and a generously sized screen, anyone taking a quick glance could be easily forgiven for assuming the JXD S7800b is a rival to Sony’s PS Vita. While bearing some similarities on the outside, this Android gaming handheld isn’t built to take on the mainstream market, but instead
to provide a fantastic platform for playing games from Google’s Play Store.

Wipeout Pure is a 2005 video game in the Wipeout series for the PSP. Like previous installments, Pure takes you to a futuristic world of combat racing. On each track, you can pick up high-tech weapons and power-ups to help you push your craft ahead of the competition. Explore all-new environments while listening to an up-tempo soundtrack featuring various artists.

We played this game on JXD S7800b, as you see, everything is running perfectly. JXD S7800b is very powerful with a quad core processor, 8GB RAM, Micro SD slot (32GB max), 1200 x 800 touchscreen display, built in game controller and HDMI output. It plays all the emulators that I have downloaded from the google play store without issue. It can also be used as a standard android tablet as well.

We tested this game on JXD S7800b, it is an excellent device, whatever its use. Has a great CPU that provides full emulation capability to the device and performing other tasks on the Android system. GPU has a simple but fulfilling its function and shows its capability in more demanding games. The battery life can reach up to seven hours (doing simple tasks and simple games).

In addition, the device has a curious mapper buttons specifically designed for laptop. By pressing a dedicated button for this function on the device (which is underneath the Home button), an overlay of "virtual" buttons are displayed on the screen, and through that you can create overlay buttons over touch-screen device that simulate the rings, thereby allowing games that do not officially support control to operate on the JXD without use of the screen.

The game play and flow maintains the consistency of previous Darius games: players fight the Belser Army through several stages and can choose to fight in different zones along different paths, ultimately reaching a different final boss and ending. Players can upgrade the firepower of their Silver Hawk space fighter with power-ups that affect the ship’s main firepower, secondary missiles and shield as well as additional power-ups that add to player’s score, extends or destroys every enemy on screen. The main differences include ship selection, the Burst System and the effect of weapons on enemy fire.

Players have three types of main firepower to upgrade starting with Missile, Laser and ending in Wave Shot. As the ship receives further upgrades, the weapon placement will move up from Missile to Laser and Wave. However, many enemies throughout the game use similar shots and the player can destroy enemy shots depending on what they are. When using the Missile Shot, the Silver Hawk can destroy enemy missile shots and the same effect stands with Laser shots. The Wave shot however is consistent throughout the Darius series in its ability to fire through solid foreground objects.

The game was set to be released in March but was delayed by Koei, as well as the other Dynasty Warriors 6, spin-off Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires. The console version demo was created on the Japanese store, which had six characters (Zhao Yun, Xiahou Dun, Dian Wei, Sun Shang Xiang, Ma Chao and Zhou Yu) and there was 4 stages available to be played. Each set of characters is better at certain things. For example, the Shu force is the speedy force, the Wu force is the strong force and the Wei force is the best at defending.

Racing in Ridge Racer is fun. In fact, it’s always been fun, so there haven’t been many changes made here, which is good for fans of the series. However, the gameplay isn’t going to convert anyone after a decade of minor changes. Collisions merely slow you down, and powerslides are still your primary means of moving around corners. The one key difference is that powersliding now fills up an onscreen nitro meter. When you fill one of your nitro stocks (you can store up to three boosts), you can unleash it at will for a modest speed boost. The opposing vehicles also will crack open a nitro stock from time to time, usually waiting until you’re about to pass before coming at you. Beyond that, the driver artificial intelligence isn’t terribly impressive. The 11 other cars in the race sort of follow their own lines and don’t do much to block your pass attempts. This makes most of the game pretty easy, once you’ve mastered the art of the powerslide, but as you proceed through the world tour mode, the difficulty (and the speed) does ramp up.
